The Christian Flag promotes unity within Christendom, "that they may all be one" (St. John 17:21). As such, it is important to promote the flag when possible. If the chancel of your church does not have a Christian Flag in it, consider ordering one to place there, alongside your denominational or national flag, or independently from it. Some churches prefer to place the Holy Christian Flag in the narthex or vestibule, rather than in the sanctuary so this is another option available to your church. If your parish has recently purchased a Christian Flag, or has not yet dedicated the one it possesses, you can incorporate into the liturgy the Dedication of the Christian Flag.
Frances Jane Crosby, the author of several famous hymns, including "Blessed Assurance", "Pass Me Not, O Gentle Saviour", and "To God Be the Glory", also wrote a hymn in honour of the Christian Flag, which your church congregation can sing, especially during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
If you are involved at a local Christian school of any denomination, organize an effort to enstate the Christian Flag in each classroom as well as the daily recitation of the Pledge to the Christian Flag, found on our Home page. Many companies also make Christian Flag lapel pins, which individuals can wear to show their Christian faith. These are fashionable to wear while at work, school, or play and can help spread the message of ecumenism. If you own private property, consider buying a Christian Flag to display for all to see the unity of the Christian Church, especially in a time in which the apostolic faith is ridiculed. Please read about our free special offer in the last paragraph of this page regarding Christian flag pins.
